Workshop: Developing a Framework for Creative and Cultural Collaborations in Arts, Humanities and Social Science Research
5 July 2022 15:30 – 17:00 BST
Join the University of Manchester for an online workshop supporting the development of a framework for partnerships between academics and creative industry professionals.
In 2021, the Aspect funded Creative Industries Deep Dive Project—based at Creative Manchester and University of York, XR Stories—interviewed industry professionals and academics engaged in partnerships to locate ‘best practice’. The aim was to develop a ‘toolkit’ that would facilitate stronger, more viable partnerships between HEIs and CCIs.
Drawing on this study, a prototype framework for collaborative research and knowledge exchange has ben developed. In this workshop, participants will be invited to comment on the feasibility of this framework and to explore ways it might be altered for greater efficacy.
The workshop will feature speakers who pioneer collaboration or engage in policy, including project partners at Cardiff Business School. Speakers and facilitators will consider: What would a framework for Creative and Cultural Collaborations in the Arts, Humanities and Social Science Research look like on the ground level? How do we find concrete ways to establish such a framework both in HEIs and CCIs? And how might it be implemented?
The event will take place on Zoom and is free to attend.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an illuminating and productive event.
